RAVE Programs
Programs
First Kicks
A WA State Learning Standards aligned physical literacy program for 3-5 year olds that gives parents and educators the tools to help young learners move their bodies while developing their cognitive skills - using a soccer ball.
Support from Puyallup Tribe of Indians | Curriculum support provided by Valley View Early Learning Center
Goals for Art
This arts-based program fosters social-emotional wellness and belonging - and stakeholdership among community youth. Children create original artwork that is later incorporated into their community’s RAVE field, affirming their role as contributors and creators to their own community space.
Science of Soccer
This program connects soccer with STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) learning through classroom and hands-on activities. Each participating group receives equipment and training. The curriculum, created by experts, is aligned with Washington State Learning Standards.

Community Grants
Through annual grants, RAVE Foundation funds organizations that use soccer to promote free play, support community growth, and youth development. Programs must align with RAVE’s strategic focus areas: offering financial aid to programs that promote free play, community unity, and holistic development.
- Inspire free play by removing barriers and increasing access to soccer.
- Use the inclusive nature of soccer to bind and strengthen communities.
- Uses soccer as a vehicle to inspire health, learning, and joy.
The RAVE Community Grants Program is open once per year to organizations working to use soccer to make a positive impact in their community.
One Ball Program
RAVE aims to distribute 100,000 free soccer balls to youth across Washington by 2026. Balls are given out at RAVE field openings, school events, and community programs. For every mile run by Sounders FC during the regular season, Delta Air Lines donates one ball to a child through RAVE.
Our goal is that every child within walkable distance of a RAVE field will have their own soccer ball to keep.
