GOALS for ART
NAAM and NEWHOLLY Juneteenth Art Gallery
The art displayed on this online art gallery was created by children during Northwest African American Museum’s Virtual Juneteenth celebration on June 12, 2022, as well as at the RAVE Foundation groundbreaking event celebrating two new fields being build in Seattle Housing Authority’s NewHolly neighborhood on June 15, 2022.
Inspired by the book “All Different Now” by Angela Johnson, as well as through an engaging art workshop led by artist Jeremy Bell, children were guided through the process of making beautiful art, which will be near and around two new RAVE soccer fields in NewHolly’s Central Park.
